In early January, no warning or fanfare, people here just stopped wearing masks. I went from noticing that 25% of people in the market weren’t wearing masks to now, when about 10% are wearing them! Then in mid March, there must have been some Chamber of Commerce meeting, and the local businesses made a joint decision that they were all going to open their businesses back up. Too many businesses, to go after them all to enforce any COVID restrictions. And that was that! Any business that was able to survive, and sadly, many did not survive, is back in business.
I hope that my friends in the UK are able to do major push back, if the goal posts are moved again. You may have to put your Gestapo-government and police in the same position. Strength in numbers, they can’t go after everyone!
Had to change screen name to one I used when crusading against bad nursing homes in New Jersey, “Anne Ihilator.” Probably better that I stop using my real name on YouTube anyway.
Have to say, it pretty much makes no odds to me anymore. Being self employed I am now about as skint as I can get and have no idea how long it will take me, if ever, to get back to any form of normal living again. But you never know.
The government want to waste as much money as possible then they will have the excuse they need to privatize the NHS. All the multi-millionaires that have been created because of Covid now want turn themselves into multi-billionaires!!!
